Section 01Tribal TANF

Are you a family in need of temporary financial assistance?

The Tribal TANF program provides temporary cash assistance, employment support, and childcare help to eligible families. Our navigators help you complete the application and connect you with additional wrap-around services in the same visit.

You may qualify if:

  • You have a child under 18 living in your household
  • Your household income falls below the program threshold
  • At least one parent or caregiver is a tribal member or eligible dependent
  • You are willing to participate in an employment or training activity

Documents to Bring

  • Proof of tribal enrollment or descendant status
  • Birth certificates for all children in the household
  • Most recent pay stubs or proof of income (or letter of no income)

Section 02ICWA Compliance

Are you caring for a relative's child, or navigating a custody matter?

The Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA) exists specifically to protect Native children and keep them connected to their families and communities. If a child in your family is involved in foster care, adoption, or custody proceedings, you have rights under federal law — and we can help you understand and use them.

You may qualify if:

  • You are a grandparent, aunt, uncle, or other relative raising a child
  • A child in your family is involved in state foster care or adoption proceedings
  • You are seeking kinship placement or guardianship
  • You need to establish or document tribal membership for a child

Documents to Bring

  • Child's birth certificate and any existing court orders
  • Your proof of tribal membership or lineage

    CDIB card accepted

  • Documentation of your relationship to the child
  • Any notices received from state child welfare agencies
  • Names and contact information of any attorneys involved

Section 03Title VI Nutrition

Are you an elder, or caring for an elder who needs nutrition or support services?

Our Elder Services program delivers congregate meals, home-delivered nutrition, transportation to medical appointments, and in-home support. No elder in our community should go without a hot meal or sit alone when they need to see a doctor.

You may qualify if:

  • The person is age 60 or older and a tribal member or spouse of a tribal member
  • You are a caregiver seeking respite or home support services
  • The elder lives alone or has limited access to transportation
  • The elder has been discharged from a hospital or rehabilitation facility

Documents to Bring

  • Proof of age (birth certificate, state ID, or enrollment card with DOB)
  • Tribal enrollment documentation
  • Current address and any secondary residence if applicable
  • List of current medications and primary care provider

Section 04IHS / BH Referrals

Are you or someone you know in need of counseling, substance use support, or crisis services?

Our Behavioral Health team provides individual and family counseling, substance use referrals, and crisis intervention — all grounded in cultural practices and conducted with confidentiality. Asking for help is an act of strength, and we will meet you where you are.

You may qualify if:

  • You or a family member is experiencing mental health challenges
  • You are seeking substance use treatment or recovery support
  • You need crisis intervention or safety planning
  • You are a veteran seeking trauma-informed care

Documents to Bring

  • Tribal enrollment card or proof of eligibility

  • Insurance card if available (Medicaid, IHS)

Section 05NAHASDA / HUD

Are you in need of housing assistance, emergency shelter, or home repair support?

The Tribal Housing Authority administers rental assistance, emergency housing vouchers, home weatherization, and new construction waitlists. If you are facing eviction, living in overcrowded conditions, or in need of emergency shelter, start here.

You may qualify if:

  • You are a tribal member or eligible family member
  • Your household income is at or below 80% of the area median income
  • You are currently unhoused or facing imminent eviction
  • Your current home has health or safety code violations

Documents to Bring

  • Proof of tribal membership (enrollment card or CDIB)
  • Proof of income for all adult household members

  • Current lease or eviction notice if applicable
  • Utility bills for the last three months
  • Birth certificates for all household members
  • Social Security numbers for all adults

Your enrollment number helps us prepare your file in advance — but it is never required to attend.
